Birkat Mashiach

(11) The LORD swore unto David in truth; He will not turn back from it: 'Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. (12) If thy children keep My covenant And My testimony that I shall teach them, Their children also for ever shall sit upon thy throne.' (13) For the LORD hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for His habitation: (14) 'This is My resting-place for ever; Here will I dwell; for I have desired it. (15) I will abundantly bless her provision; I will give her needy bread in plenty. (16) Her priests also will I clothe with salvation; And her saints shall shout aloud for joy. (17) There will I make a horn to shoot up unto David, There have I ordered a lamp for Mine anointed. (18) His enemies will I clothe with shame; But upon himself shall his crown shine.'

(21) In that day will I cause a horn to shoot up unto the house of Israel, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.’

(2) And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and might, The spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. (3) And his delight shall be in the fear of the LORD; And he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, Neither decide after the hearing of his ears; (4) But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the land; And he shall smite the land with the rod of his mouth, And with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. (5) And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, And faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

(5) Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous shoot, and he shall reign as king and prosper, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

Decendant of David

(15) In those days, and at that time, Will I cause a shoot of righteousness to grow up unto David; And he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

Each of the following has been suggested as the time when the mashiach will come:

  • if Israel repented a single day;
  • if Israel observed a single Shabbat properly;
  • if Israel observed two Shabbats in a row properly;
  • in a generation that is totally innocent or totally guilty;
  • in a generation that loses hope;
  • in a generation where children are totally disrespectful towards their parents and elders; --- http://www.jewfaq.org/
(16) and thou shalt come up against My people Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the end of days, and I will bring thee against My land, that the nations may know Me, when I shall be sanctified through thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
