שוב מעשה בנכרי אחד שבא לפני שמאי א"ל גיירני ע"מ שתלמדני כל התורה כולה כשאני עומד על רגל אחת דחפו באמת הבנין שבידו בא לפני הלל גייריה אמר לו דעלך סני לחברך לא תעביד זו היא כל התורה כולה ואידך פירושה הוא זיל גמור.
There was another incident involving a certain gentile who came before Shammai and said to him:
"Convert me on condition that you will teach me the entire Torah while I stand on one foot."
Shammai pushed him away with the rule in his hand.
The gentile came before Hillel. Hillel converted him. Hillel said to him:
"What is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow. This is the entire Torah, the rest is commentary. Go and learn."
לֹא תִשְׂנָא אֶת אָחִיךָ בִּלְבָבֶךָ הוֹכֵחַ תּוֹכִיחַ אֶת עֲמִיתֶךָ וְלֹא תִשָּׂא עָלָיו חֵטְא. לֹא תִקֹּם וְלֹא תִטֹּר אֶת בְּנֵי עַמֶּךָ וְאָהַבְתָּ לְרֵעֲךָ כָּמוֹךָ אֲנִי יְ-הוָה.
You shall not hate your brother in your heart; you shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against members of your people, but thou shalt love your fellow as yourself: I am the Lord.
ואהבת לרעך כמוך: אמר רבי עקיבא זה כלל גדול בתורה:
And you shall love your fellow as yourself: Rabbi Akiva said: "This is a fundamental principle in the Torah."
Siddur - Morning Prayer
It is proper to recite the following line before prayer:
הרני מקבל עלי מצות עשה של ואהבת לרעך כמוך
I hereby take upon myself the mitzvah of "love your fellow as yourself."
Pesachim 113b
ת"ר (ויקרא יט, טו) תני רב יוסף בצדק תשפוט עמיתך עם שאתך בתורה ובמצות
Rav Yosef taught: The verse states "With righteousness shall you judge your fellow." The word "your fellow" means one who is with you Torah and mitzvot.
הלל אומר: ... ואל תדין את חברך עד שתגיע למקומו
Hillel said: "... do not judge your fellow man until you have stood in his place."
הלל ושמאי קבלו מהם .הלל אומר, הוי מתלמידיו של אהרן, אוהב שלום ורודף שלום, אוהב את הבריות ומקרבן לתורה.
Hillel and Shammai received [the Torah] from them [Shemayah and Avtalyon]. Hillel used to say: Be of the disciples of Aaron, loving peace and pursuing peace, loving [one's fellow] creatures and bringing them closer to the Torah.
כל אהבה שהיא תלויה בדבר , בטל דבר, בטלה אהבה .ושאינה תלויה בדבר, אינה בטלה לעולם.
Any love that is dependent on something, when that thing disappears, the love will disappear A love which is not dependent on anything will never cease.
"בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱ-לֹהִים" ששה דברים קדמו לבריאת העולם ... ר' הונא ור' ירמיה בשם רבי שמואל בר ר' יצחק אמרו מחשבתן של ישראל קדמה לכל דבר
"In the beginning of G-d creating" -- six things preceded the creation of the world. Rabbi Huna and Rabbi Yirmia said in the name of Rabbi Shmuel the son of Rabbi Yitzchak: "The thought of Israel preceded everything."

Israel connects with the Torah and the Torah connects with G-d.
