(4) HEAR, O ISRAEL: THE LORD IS OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE. (5) And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. (6) And these words, which I command you this day, shall be upon your heart; (7) and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you are on your way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. (8) And you shall bind them as sign upon your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. (9) And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house, and upon your gates.

1) According to the text, what are Jews commanded to do?

2) What does it mean to love "the Lord your God" with all your heart, your soul and your might?

3) The mezuzah, which holds these words, is a symbol that the people who dwell within the house live Jewish lives. According to the text, how is one to lead a Jewish life? With what ideas do you agree? With what do you disagree?

4) What does living "Jewishly" mean to you? How are these ideas reflected in the home you build at university?

5) Write your own klaf.
