Generosity with knowledge shows that one has confidence in the benefit of knowledge, and that one knows that teaching will not diminish one’s knowledge but rather, add to it, as they said, “I learned much wisdom from my teachers; from my students, most of all” (Ta’anis 7a). This shows how resistant knowledge is to impairment (through teaching). Knowledge, when genuine and great, spurs its owner to share it with others. (pg 64) [Translation by R.
