בָּארַג m. (dial. for בַּרְקָא, v. ברק a. deriv.; cmp. בָּאגָא a. בִּקְעָא) sparkling, effervescent; white-shining. Ab. Zar. 30ᵃ מתוק חמר ב׳ Ar. (ed. מי ב׳) by ‘sweet wine’ we understand effervescent wine (liquid) (mulsum vinum or mulsa aqua, v. Sm. Ant. s. v. Vinum).—Snh. 98ᵃ סוסיא ב׳ quot. in Rashi to Ab.
