Ibn Ganaḥ (in his Book of Hebrew Roots) says that kenaf is used in the sense of “concealing,” in analogy with the Arabic kanaftu alshaian, “I have hidden something,” and accordingly explains, Isaiah 30:20, “And thy teacher will no longer be hidden or concealed.” It is a good explanation, and I think that kenaf has the same meaning in Deuteronomy 23:1, “He shall not take away the cover (kenaf) of his father”; also in, “Spread, therefore, thy cover (kenafeka) over thine handmaid” (Ruth 3:9).

He answers: The contradiction between the two verses
teaches that Moses was lying in the wings of the Divine Presence,
as Moses was carried out by God Himself,
and the ministering angels were saying: “He executed the righteousness of the Lord, and His ordinances with Israel”
(Deuteronomy 33:21).
And the Holy One, Blessed be He, was saying: “Who will rise up for Me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for Me against the workers of iniquity?”
(Psalms 94:16). In other words…

The Gemara asks another question:
One verse states: “Each one had six wings;
with two it covered its face and with two it covered its feet, and with two it flew” (Isaiah 6:2),
and another verse states: “And every one had four faces, and every one of them had four wings”
(Ezekiel 1:6). The Gemara answers: This is
not difficult,
as
here,
when the verse states they each had six wings, it is referring
to the time when the Temple is standing,
while
there,
where four wings are described, it is referring
to the time when the Temple is not standing…
Chagigah 13b:8-10
In the future world the Holy One, blessed be He, will take hold of the corners of the land of Israel, and shake it (free) from all unclean (things), as it is said, "That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it" (Job 38:13).

(Lev. 22:27:) “When a bull or a sheep or a goat.” This text is related (to Ps. 27:6), “And now shall my head be lifted up over my enemies round about me and I will offer sacrifice in His tent with a loud cry.” When Israel carried out that deed (of the golden calf), the nations of the world said, “There will be no recovery for them, and He will never return to them.” When Israel heard that they would sacrifice a bull, their head was lifted up, as stated (ibid.), “And now shall my head be lifted up […]…

MISHNA:
One

a pot of hot food on Shabbat eve
in clothing, in produce, in doves’ wings, in a carpenter’s wood-shavings, and in the chaff of fine flax. Rabbi Yehuda prohibits
doing so when it is

doing so when it is

GEMARA:
Since doves’ wings were mentioned in the mishna, the Gemara cites a related story:

The convert

Am I at all worthy to be High Priest? Is it not written in the Torah: And the common man that draws near shall be put to death? He came before Hillel
and
said to him: Hillel the patient, may blessings rest upon your head as you brought me under the wings of the Divine Presence.
The Gemara relates:
Eventually, the three

one place,

they said: Shammai’s impatience sought to drive us from the world…

“Even in your thought do not curse a king” (Ecclesiastes 10:20) – Rabbi Avin said: Do not curse and blaspheme before Me with the intelligence that I granted you beyond that of the animal, beast, and bird. I created two eyes for you, and they have two eyes; you have two ears, and they have two ears. I made you similar to them, as it is stated: “He is comparable to animals, which perish [

“Moses and Aaron went and gathered all the elders of the children of Israel” (Exodus 4:29).
“Moses and Aaron went and gathered…” – Rabbi Akiva said: Why was Israel analogized to the bird? Just as a bird flies only by virtue of its wings, so too, Israel is able to stand only by virtue of the elders [

(Lev. 19:2:) “You shall be holy.” R. Pinhas bar Hama the Priest said that R. Reuben said, “What is the meaning of that which is written (in Ezek. 3:12), ‘and I heard after me?’ I heard a great roaring sound. What is the meaning of ‘after me ('hry)?’ After ('hry) I and my friends praised Him, I heard the ministering angels, as they praised Him and said (ibid., cont.), ‘Blessed be the glory of the Lord from His place.’” You should know that at the time that Moses went up above, he heard the voice of the angels praising like this…

(Deut. 25:19:) “And it shall come to pass when the Lord your God grants you rest [… you shall blot out the remembrance of Amalek].” R. Azariah and R. Judah bar Simon said in the name of R. Judah bar Il'ay, “Israel was given three commandments on their entrance to the land: To appoint a king over themselves, as written (in Deut. 17:15), ‘You shall surely place a king over yourself.’ To build the Temple, as written (in Exod. 25:8), ‘And make Me a sanctuary.’ To cut off the seed of Amalek, as stated (in Deut. 25:19), ‘[…] you shall blot out the remembrance of Amalek.’” R…

Rabbi Ḥanin of Tzippori interpreted the verse regarding a mound of dirt. One who is foolish, what does he say? Who can remove this? One who is clever, what does he say? I will remove two basketsful today, two basketsful tomorrow, until I remove it all. So too, one who is foolish says: Who can study the Torah?

“He shall split it by its wings, but shall not separate” (Leviticus 1:17). Rabbi Yoḥanan said: The common man, if he smells the odor of wings, he is disgusted, and you say: “The priest shall burn everything on the altar” (Leviticus 1:9)? Why to that extent? It is, rather, so that the altar will be adorned with the offering of a poor person.
King Agrippa sought to sacrifice one thousand burnt offerings on one day. He sent and said to the High Priest, ‘let no man other than me bring [an offering] today.’ A certain poor person came with two turtledoves in his hand…
Vayikra Rabbah 3:5
The laws of uncleanness can apply to what was created on the first day. There can be no uncleanness in what was created on the second day. The laws of uncleanness can apply to what was created on the third day. No there can be no uncleanness in what was created on the fourth day and on the fifth day, except for the wing of the vulture or an ostrich-egg that is plated. Rabbi Yohanan ben Nuri said: why should the wing of a vulture be different from all other wings? The laws of uncleanness can apply to all that was created on the sixth day.

“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: Any man, when he has a discharge from his flesh, his discharge is impure” (Leviticus 15:2).
“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: Any man, when he has a discharge from his flesh…” That is what is written: “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth” (Ecclesiastes 12:1). We learned, Akavya ben Mahalalel says: Consider three matters and you will not come to sin: Know from where you came – from a putrid drop; where you are going – to dust, maggots, and worms…

Rav said to Rav Kahana:
It is better for one
to turn over a carcass than to turn over his word,
i.e., to break his promise. Rav further said:
Skin a carcass in the market and take payment, but do not say: I am a priest, or: I am a great man, and this matter disgusts me.
It is preferable for one to work, even in menial labor, than to be dependent on others. Rav also advised Rav Kahana: If
you ascend to the roof,

your food with you.
One should always carry his sustenance with him, even if he goes only on a short trip…
Pesachim 113a:3
The Gemara stated that Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi’s suffering
came
upon him
due to an incident. What was that
incident that led to his suffering? The Gemara answers
that
there was
a certain calf that was being led to slaughter.
The calf
went and hung its head on the corner of Rabbi
Yehuda HaNasi’s garment
and was weeping.
Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi
said to it: Go,

in Heaven:
Since he was not compassionate

let afflictions come upon him.
