טחה to hurl, shoot.
    — Qal - טָחָה he pushed.
    — Pa.‘el . - טִחֲוָה prob. ‘he shot a bow’ (a hapax legomenon in the Bible, occurring Gen. 21:16 in the phrase כִּמְטַחֲוֵי קֶשֶׁת, which prob. means ‘like shootness of a bow’, or ‘as it were a bow-shot’). [Arab. taḥa(y) (= he spread, carried far). cp. טְוָח (= shooting, distance, range).]
