— Qal - דָּרַס 1 he trod, trod down, trampled; 2 he slaughtered by pressing the knife on the throat of the animal; 3 it (the bird or beast of prey) attacked with claws.
— Niph. - נִדְרַס PBH 1 was trodden down, was trampled; MH 2 was attacked (by a bird or beast of prey); NH 3 was run over. [JAram. דְּרַס, Syr. דְּרַשׁ (= he trod, trampled), Arab. darasa (= he rubbed over, wiped out, blotted out, obliterated; he threshed (grains)).
