גֵּרָה ᴵᴵ f.n. 1 ‘gerah’ — an ancient coin, twentieth part of a ‘shekel’. PBH 2 grain of a carob. [Sense 2 is prob. the original one. cp. Akka. giru 1/24 part of šiqlu (unit of weight). cp. גַּרְגֵּר. cp. also אֲגוֹרָה.]
