חמסי ב' במסורה חמסי עליך. חמסי ושארי על כבל תאמר יושבת ציון. מקיש שרה לציון נאמר בשרה כי שרה עקרה וציון עקרה ומה שרה הכניסה צרה אף ישראל העכו"ם הן צריהן: "חמסי" [which means "my wrong"] in the manuscript here. "חמסי" [also means "violence upon me"] and "שארי" ["my complaint"] are both under the same category. "You who dwell in Zion" [Isaiah 10:32] also uses the word "כבל" ["rope"], [which is a homonym for "complaint"], in reference to Zion. Sarah is likened to Zion, as it is said of Sarah, "for Sarah was barren" [Genesis 11:30], and of Zion it is said, "Sing, O barren one" [Isaiah 54:1]. Just as Sarah brought trouble [on herself], so too Israel, the Gentiles, bring their troubles upon themselves.
