סוּדָר (mostly pl. form סוּדָרִין) f. (סָדַר; cmp. דּוּר II) scarf wound around the head and hanging down over the neck, turban. Sabb. 120ᵃ וסודר שבצוארו and a scarf hanging down over his neck (v. Rashi); Y. ib. XVI, end, 15ᵈ וסודרין שעל זרועותיו (not וסי׳) hanging down over his arms. Succ. 51ᵇ וחזן … והסודרין בידו and the superintendent of the synagogue stood there with a scarf (as a flag) in his hand; ומניף בסודר; Tosef. ib. IV, 6 בסודרין; Y. ib.
