קַנְטְרָן, קַנְתְּ׳ m. (v. preced. articles) a quarrelsome person, disputatious. Esth. R. to II, 5 וכי קנת׳ היה ועיבר וכ׳ was he (Mordecai) contumacious and one who disregards the king’s decree?—Pl. קַנְטְרָנִים, קַנְטְרָנִין, קַנְתְּ׳. Ned. 48ᵃ אנשי גליל ק׳ היו וכ׳ the Galileans were quarrelsome and wont to forswear enjoying benefits from one another.
