הנשארים בכם. בעבור שאמר והריקותי אחריכם חרב: AND AS FOR THEM THAT ARE LEFT OF YOU. Scripture says this because it previously stated, and I will draw out the sword after you (v. 33).121And as for them that are left of you (v. 36) refers to those who survive the sword’s destruction.

Morekh (faintness) comes from a double root.122It comes from the root resh, kaf, kaf. Similarly, the word mo’al (lifting up) in with the lifting up of their hands (Neh. 8:6).123From the root ayin, lamed, lamed. The word morekh is related to the word rakh (faint) in and faint-hearted (Deut. 20:8). They will be so scared that the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them. Niddaf (driven) is an adjective in the nifal. The root nun is swallowed.124The root of niddaf is nun, dalet, peh. The nun in niddaf is the root of the nifal form.
