ואם תחתיה תעמוד הבהרת. והיא כהה. כאשר פירשתי ולא הזכיר כן בפסוק ואם תחתיה תעמוד הבהרת הראשון בעבור שעמדה הבהרת כאשר היתה: AND IF THE BRIGHT SPOT STAY IN ITS PLACE…BUT BE DIM. The word kehah (dim) is to be understood as I explained it earlier (v. 6).52According to I.E. kehah means be diminished. Scripture does not mention kehah (dim) the first time, But if the bright spot stay in its place (v. 23), because there the bright spot remains as it was.53In verse 23 if the affliction remains as it was, it is declared clean. However, the affliction in our verse has to diminish, in addition to not spreading, for the afflicted person to be declared clean (Krinsky).
