Ba'al Shem Tov, Bereshit 11

כמו שיש כ"ב אותיות בדיבורי תורה ותפלה, כך יש בכל עניני החומר והגשמיי שבעולם גם כן כ"ב אותיות, שבהם נברא העולם וכל אשר בו, וכמו שאמרו בש"ס דברכות (דנ"ה ע"א) יודע היה בצלאל לצרף אותיות שנבראו בהם שמים וארץ וכו' רק שהאותיות מלובש בחומר ענייני העולם, בכמה כיסויין ולבושין וקליפות, ובתוך האותיות שורה רוחניות הקב"ה, הרי שכבודו יתברך מלא כל הארץ וכל אשר בה, לית אתר פנוי מיניה, כמבואר בתיקונים (תיקון כ"ו) רק שהוא בהסתרה, וכאשר אנשי הדעת יודעים מזה ההסתרה אינו אצלם הסתרה ושינוי, וזהו שאמר בתיקונים הנ"ל אבל אינון דתליין מהקב"ה לא אישתני מהם וכו':
(תולדות יעקב יוסף ר"פ בראשית ד"ח ע"ג.) Just as there are twenty-two letters in the words of Torah and prayer, so there are twenty-two letters in the entire physical universe, for the world and everything in it was created through them. Thus, the Talmud states that “Betzalel knew how to combine the letters through which heaven and earth were created.”¹Berachos 55a. These letters, however, are enclothed in the physical stuff of the world, beneath numerous coverings, garments and kelipot. Within the letters dwells the spirituality of G-d. Now, G-d’s glory fills the entire earth and everything in it, and there is no place devoid of Him.²Tikkunei Zohar, tikun 26. However, it is concealed. But when enlightened individuals realize this, it no longer a concealement for them and shinui (?). this is what it says in the Tikkunei Zohar: “But those who depend upon the Holy One, ….”
